As I finished up my Pasote I finally got my hands on a reasonably priced Tequila Ocho. I got it for $62. After trying the two I actually prefer the Pasote. Its a little smoother and less burny. Don't get me wrong the Tequila Ocho is good and has a good agave flavor just the Pasote seems better to me.
