Rank vs Elo Rank Vs Elo Ratings

Please can someone explain to me the difference between a players rank, elo rank and elo ratings. New to tennis and getting all sorts of confusing explanations online.
Seems like the lower your rank the better the player while it's inverse for the elo rank.
Is the elo rank and elo ratings different?
