You often see this argument whenever the USA isn’t a world power in a particular sport:
It’s because our best athletes choose to play other sports
It’s most often when referring to America’s lack of success in soccer/football but also increasingly in men’s tennis. I’ve even seen some people claim MLB players would dominate professional cricket, but I digress.
What do you think? Is there truth to that claim? (Specifically with men’s tennis)
I think it's pretty clear thatva disproportionatel amount of the world's best athletes come from the US
