Is 2022 the wildest Tennis season ever?

- The men's world number 1 and defending champion is denied entry into Australia (AT the airport), fights his case in court and then is deported by a minister
- We have a new leader in the men's grand slam count
- Kygrios and Kokkinakis enter a doubles tournament as a joke and end up grand slam champions
- The WTA world no.1 decides to retire at age 25, two weeks after winning her home slam
- The WTA suspends all tournaments in China over the whereabouts of Peng Shuai
- The ITF and all 4 grand slams agreed unanimously to have a 10-point super tiebreaker in the 5th set of men's matches *throws up*
- An 18 year old Spaniard wins the Miami masters, wins in Barcelona and defeats the top 3 seeds to win in Madrid
- Wimbledon bans the participation of Russian players in the Championships.
- In response, both the WTA and ATP remove all points at Wimbledon for 2022.
- Two stalwarts of the game (one Argentine, one French) retire from their illustrious careers to rapturous applause at their respective home tournaments.
- The new WTA world no.1 goes on a 28*-match win streak and opens a new bakery
And it's only May.
