I feel like True Detective is the most famous version of this, but what other shows are like this?
Edit: in case anybody is curious, what inspired this for me was that I just finished Big Little Lies S1. It was a literal perfect ending and I don't want to watch S2 because like why would you risk ruining that ending. Leave it alone.
To me, Season Four was when it finally got good
First two seasons, I would say, are equally must-watch
I'd say the first two seasons are must-watch. (I did watch all the seasons, though, and read the entire graphic novel too.)
I wish I hadn't kept watching Season 1, in that case. I didn't care for it but since everyone was raving about the show, I figured the better episodes were yet to come.
