I just finished V, and now I wanna watch another sci-fi show from the 00's.(as in from 2000 to 2010)
I want something set on either earth, or just one planet, not something set in space. I also want something live action, so not a cartoon or anime. I also don't want something where society collapses, be that post apoc or whatever.
I'm considering these shows, but feel free to recommend something else:
Taken
The 4400
Heroes(I'll only watch the first season.)
Day Break
Eleventh Hour
Painkiller Jane
Bionic Woman
Jekyll
Caprica
Eternelle
Dirk Gently
Outcasts
Pioneer One
ALso, if I misunderstand and any of these are set in space, please let me know.
I've also seen Fringe and DollHouse.
Earth: Final Conflict ez. Extremely gonzo.

Mad science, teleporting Ninjas and the New World Order. Several episodes were co-written by the actors so oftentimes any given plot will just be a grab bag of what they thought would be cool that day.
Turning Amish into butterflies? Nuking the Philippines from high orbit? Subverting a project for troubled youths to raise a cyborg army? Why not?
Despite everything it still somehow makes sense and there's a sense of continuity and progression. Sometimes the aliens or the people fighting them both underground and in the court of Public opinion start a project that only comes to fruition several episodes later or old characters actually call in debts which brings in further complications.
The basic premise is simply this; Aliens come to earth and offer a partnership. Most people are eventually convinced. Our heroes look under the hood and realize just how seedy the reasons for their arrival are.
