Nearly a decade before the cult favorite Better Off Ted came and went, creator Victor Fresco had an eerily similar show air 19 episodes over two seasons.
The series stars Andy Richter, Paget Brewster (Huff, Community) and Jonathan Slavin, better known as Phil in Better Off Ted.
The show is set in an ethically-challenged office of a giant corporation and Brewster plays Jessica, a powerful female boss (think a toned down Veronica, more human...)
Slavin plays Byron, the name of the guy who looks like Phil in the Better Off Ted episode where Phil attempts to be more confident to win women over. This is one of the many callbacks between the two series.
The show has very similar pacing and joke style, with some minor plotlines from Andy Richter Controls the Universe resurfacing from a different perspective in Better Off Ted.
Like Ted, this series was unfortunately short lived, but it's entirely worth the watch if you're a fan of Victor Fresco, who recently found success with Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix.
I believe the show is available to steam on Amazon Prime.
