[Bangkok] WorkBuddy collaborative workspace (Phrom Phong)
Author Summary
Post Body

A month ago a great new workspace opened up with similar style and amenities to collaborative workspaces in the US. Having a place like this available to work out of in Bangkok is awesome because it allows you to pick any hotel you wish, and not really be concerned with how good your in room wifi is. Instead, you can come work here where the internet is guaranteed to be solid and perhaps do some networking with people doing similar work as you.

Cube desks are available for rent for 300 baht a day and the internet is pretty kick ass here. 15 down and 1 up with strong wifi signal throughout. Even though the official hours are 9am to 6pm, the owner seems flexible about letting you come in at night if you talk to him first.

The location is on Sukuhmvit Soi 31 right at the corner of Sukuhmvit. It's on the 10th floor of RSU Tower across from Hotel 31. There's a 7-11 near by and if you walk a bit further, there's a 24-hour supermarket with a surprising amount of expat american groceries.

Pros

  • Flexible workspace with cubes and private rooms
  • Guaranteed stable internet
  • Kitchen and fridge makes this place a decent alternative to netcafes

Cons

  • Not 24 hour checkin, but talk to the owner beforehand and get a visitor pass
  • Not the best Dtac 3G data signal. Not sure about AIS.
