My view as a European non-Jew on Western pro-Palestinian Left.
Post Body

I am from Czechia and since 7 October I am increasingly tired of Western Left. And it's because of the whole situation you experience in Israel.

It's so disheartening for me as a non-Jew to see so much hate towards Jews. Insane. Impossible to imagine how it must be for Jews all over the world.

It was already talked about many times here but the Western Left, including those with zero connection to Muslim world whatsoever, is incredibly vile towards Jews and gives Hamas endless benefit of the doubt,

One typical example is deflating numbers of Israeli deaths. I've seen many pro-Palestinians claiming as the fact that the number of deaths during 7 October was only a 1/6 of what is usually reported.

Another issue is "feigning ignorance". Aka behaving like lacking knowledge of contexts and the whole situation while pretty clearly having the knowledge and/or choosing to ignore it.

The Left ignores the struggles of Israeli side while acting like Palestinians live in world's worst conditions, basically in tents or something. They definitely try to imprint this image in people's minds, in my experience.

The biggest reason I decided to post this rant is because of many debates I've witnessed and participated in in the last several weeks.

Essentially as I described above the Left is tons about "Israelis cannot do any good and Hamas/Palestinians cannot do any evil". Also, they struggle to say a single good word about Israel and a single bad word about Hamas and Palestinians. They for sure try to avoid and forget the topic of 7 October which then leads to the belief that what IDF's doing now is unprovoked.

One absolutely absurd discussion I had was about antisemitic symbolism during pro-Palestinian protests.

A woman in 1972 Olympics sweatshirt attended pro-Palestine protest in Prague. Btw. I think this is the first time in our modern history when sizeable pro-Palestine protests took place here.

She was confronted about the fact later by the media after it went viral on the internet. Her excuse, and I kid you not, boiled down to "the sweatshirt was a part of my innocent Halloween costume from last night that was depicting a character from kids movie and when I was at the protest I didn't realize the symbolism the sweatshirt represents" It's so crystally clear she's feigning ignorance and thus lying.

And I had a debate with a propagandist leftie (the guy is spamming our national subreddit with anti-Israeli and socialist crap all the time) about whether she's telling the truth or not.

I don't remember when I was debating more delusional guy than him. I pointed out so many coincidences that prove her being a big liar and he was seriously still believing her. If it was a right-winger having a subtle fascist imagery on their clothes, that guy would crucify them on the internet forums but suddenly a clearly antisemitic woman gets his benefit of doubt? Give us a break, bro.

How am I supposed to believe the left isn't antisemitic when they actively defend acts of antisemitism?

Anyway, the post got super-long now so I guess it's time to wrap it up.

TLDR: I am pissed off at the Left because of a mentality that boils down to "Israel always bad, Hamas/Palestine always good".
