Sorry if this isn’t about the war but I was just curious what gay culture is like in Israel. I am a mostly gay man and I would like to visit someday. Are there any differences between lgbt people in Israel and other parts of the world? What about gay Muslims? Is homosexuality among Muslims living in Israel viewed negatively? I was also wondering if it’s common for women and straight couples or frequent gay bars. This is quite common in Canada. Israel seems like a safe haven for lgbt people in an extremely homophobic region.
I commented only about Tel Aviv, as this is r/Telaviv
But FYI that the whole country is very sex positive. Actually some of the kinkiest people I know live in the northern part (Haifa is extra naughty)
Honorable mention: Pardes Hana - Karkor
Short answer is: yes
It’s illegal, many do it. It’s a massive risk to israel and sometimes these illegals commit terror attack (usually stabbing).
However, sometimes people that escape, are asking for refuge, and get a special visa to stay in israel.
Not active in the Israeli scene, but know it ;)
