Seeing everything that’s going on the news has been stressful and social media certainly isn’t helping the stress.
On the IP conflict my bf is against Hamas and doesn’t support them but seems to think Israel is worse and posting things how from the river to the sea isn’t anti semitic it’s about wanting their land back, or blaming Israel on the hospital attack or a post about anti semitism with what about Muslims and anti Palestinian sentiment or believing that if Israel just gives the land back or does these various things Hamas and their supporters would fade away like Isis or that Israel’s policies contribute to them becoming Hamas members.
With what’s going on in the news and with so much happening I don’t know how to separate fact from fiction with all the information I’m getting right now, and seeing some of the stuff my bf is posting out of ignorance. I feel bad for the death and injury from both sides but at the same time I don’t know how to unpack everything to for example like my bf where I’m not unsympathetic to the innocent people on both sides while acknowledging how bad Hamas is and how they don’t care about their civilians, or calling out anti semitism without making it seem like you can’t criticize Israel without being anti semitic.
Nothing to do with religion, your BF is simply ignorant. Are you looking to share life with ignorant people?
