I originally posted this as a comment, but I'd like to share it with more people.

In many parts of the world we're seen as part of Russia or that "wild part of Europe".

My country is being ruled by basically one political party which has taken control over the parliment, president and judges. They give money to people every month just for having children. I know it sounds fun and all, but this just makes prices in stores rise drastically fast and high. Our currency is worth less and less with each day and people don't earn more at work (min. pay is like 4$ per hour).

There's a whole thing called "propaganda of fear" which is technique that this party is using. It's like telling people that they are right and that the whole world is wrong. That with missinformation caused many people to believe that:

sex ed (which we don't formally have at schools) is about teaching preschoolers to masturbate lgbt people are not human beings - they are just an ideology and they cannot adopt children if the second biggest political party comes back to the top then everyone will be poor. 5g is harmful coronavirus is just a bit more agressive flu and vaccine for it shouldn't be necessary (current president said so) people who voted for the 2nd biggest party's candidate in last elections can' t be called catholics or their faith had decreased from that vote

There are also these weird connections between catholic church, TVP (basic tv channel - everyone has it here for free and it's paid from tax money) and the biggest party. They all support each other, but sometimes they even hide the truth or distort it (like telling that drag queens and lgbt people are all the same).

Thist biggest party had also bend the rules during pandemic which got critised by many people online. It caused some censorship to one of the songs mocking such behaviour.

And now we have new records of covid victims...

It's all happening in Poland. A country I love for it's history and culture, but at the same time I hate what it had become. The worst part is that my intrests will probably lead me to a job that would cause me to stay here.

I am scared.
