This holiday, my family and I went on vacation to Colorado with another family. This other family which we will call the Robinson family for this story, brought a girl around my age. The Robinson family also lives in Texas while I live in California. So this girl, which we will call Bella, was also from Texas and practically next door neighbors to the Robinsons. Her room was beside the room I was sleeping in, which were connected in the hotel. The first couple days I got to know Bella a lot and we became friends quickly. However by the third day, we grew and attraction toward each other which we secretly kept ( probably obvious though) to our selves. We would flirt constantly, cuddle when we watched horror movies at night, and just enjoyed each other’s presence every day on the trip. By the fourth day, I started thinking about how we wouldn’t be able to pursue our relationship due to the distance barrier, and it kept me up all night. Through the trip our relationship didn’t go too far, due to the Robinson’s boys which were the same age as me, always being around. The final days, realizing my mistake in pursuing this girl, I tried to just be friendly and not do anything that would further progress the relationship, so I wouldn’t lead her on. But she was irresistible so it was very hard. The final day we said goodbye, hugged, and I had to leave knowing I would never see her again. When I said goodbye I swear they were teary, and I felt like I was going to die. We texted until I got to the airport where I said another goodbye. The next two days after I still felt sick thinking about the trip. I’ve gotten better and really tried to move forward but it’s still hard, mostly because I got to know her so well in so little time. (This was shortened down because it was getting long; there were many other things that happened on the trip but it would take too long)
If you guys have any advice on what I should do/ anything that will help me move forward so I’m not stuck thinking what could’ve happened, that would be great. Thanks
