Firstly I want to begin by saying if you have christian parents unless your 100 percent sure that they will except your desicision don't reveal it too your parents until you have moved out with all of your stuff

Secondly don't abondon your religous pratices as it is significantly easier to pretend like your doing them then it is to try to rebel and not do it.

Thirdly come to understand why you are leaving the religion what issues do you have with it maybe your in the wrong sect

Fourthly before going to atheism look into other religions and arguements for God/Gods,

Fithly if your considering praticing a religion diffrent to the one you left make sure you have a basic understanding of why people may have left that religion

sixthly and finally Understand why others left your religion and what they criticize about it

These are all things I wish I had understood when I was leaving Christianity and going through my religous journey before becoming a norse pagnist as it would've simplified my religous journey by quite a bit
