this just happened tonight: me and my girlfriend were having a conversation about our schools and i said something about her school mates having too many issues (like about drugs, relationships, etc) which she herself tells me so. then she tells me that the teachers in my school don't care about their students and how our school's system is too "controlling". i tried to explain why our teachers seem like they do not care and why we have a very strict system then she starts talking over me, and whispering under her breath. i get annoyed because i was in the middle of talking and i told her that if she wanted everything to be in her favor all the time she should find someone else to talk to.
we also had a conversation about her getting mad at her parents for not agreeing with her on getting a dorm for prestigious university in a city (my city) 2 hrs away from hers. i explained to her why her parents are hesitant to allow her to do that and she said something about me being too controlling and that she doesn't feel free. the only points i said were: going to a city you're not familiar with is not safe and that living expenses in my city are not exactly cheap.
this is not the only situation i find her to be immature but it's the only thing i can remember at the top of my head right now. i know, we are young and we're not expected to be so mature but sometimes it feels like she's too spoiled and doesn't understand how respect goes both ways.
i want to know if my feelings about her are valid and i'm not just being sensitive.
