Too old for a career in the props?

Post Body

A year ago, I posted about building a props career when all of my experience was abroad. I was ready to find some experience but then the pandemic robbed a more than a year (and counting!) from us and it looks like this industry is the slowest to pick itself up from the mess. I talked to a guy about getting experience and skills and he said that I should get into the city's community college because that's where he started. He hustled for eight years and now he's making six figures by touring.

Sounds like a great idea to me and I planned on doing it later this year but money is an issue. I don't want to juggle paying tuition while also having a car note. Now, I plan on doing it next year but now I'm worried, will I be too old for this? I'm going to be in my mid-twenties next year and by the time I finish the program, I'll be nearing thirty. I don't really have a fear of failure but I do have an insecurity with comparing myself to other people (especially ones who are younger yet more experienced than I am). The guy I talked to was my age, btw.
