I did it with my Oled tv. I hated how dust would stick to my previous tv, and careless guests would always spatter something or another on it. If it got dirty, i could just wipe it clean without damaging the actual screen, cause even all specialized wipes seem to leave residue or cause minor scratches that add up over time.

Then after a year i took it off and it was like having a brand new tv again. I wish they made screenprotectors for tvs like for phones
