I have a MSI GE73VR 7RE (i7-7700hq 1060 6gb w/ 16gb ddr4 2166hz single channel ram) running at a 120 Hz refresh display and all tasks run smooth, even gaming at high settings is a breeze as expected. but when I try to use the hdmi to output my display to create a 2 screen desk space setup, my laptop screen becomes laggy even when just playing youtube on seperate screens and it gets worse during gameplay, games becomes stuttery and unplayable. I tried reinstalling windows but it didn’t help, installed all latest nvidia and intel dch drivers but it also didn’t help. What could be the issue here? Could it be the single channel ram struggling or the difference of display refresh rate.
