I recently bought an external CD/DVD reader/burner so that I could look at some medical scans that the hospital burnt to a disc (I think it's DVD, but unsure). However, my windows laptop does not seem to be able to read from it, nor does it raise any errors. It does however seem to behave slightly differently when I have the disc in it and double click on the DVD drive in My Computer (doesn't open the drive, though it still prompts me to put in a disc).
The disc itself seems to have two or three barely noticable scratches, and I've wiped it clean with a cloth.
I've tested the drive with a DVD movie I had, and it worked fine. I am running Windows 10 on a 2016 XPS13. Any clue what I can do?
