Please help! New sim card isn't working on pixel 6 pro with all settings and carrier saying it should be working fine

So I got a new sim and put it into my pixel and it isn't really working. Like I can't send messages through any app and I don't get notifications, but then I can Google things. So my data is working, but also not working. I've checked every setting possible pertaining to this and tried googling it and asking the carrier but everything is saying that it should be working. But it isn't. Please help. If you need any more details either comment or send me a message.
