Issues with NVIDIA Driver

I had updated the game ready driver on GeForce experience for my EVGA Geforce RTX 3090 FTW3 24GB
video card and after the update was done I got nothing but a black screen. After multiple restarts and clearing CMOS I still got nothing so I had to connect HDMI to the onboard graphics card and uninstall the driver to avoid doing a complete reinstallment of windows. I want to update my driver but don't want to have to go through that issue again is there a way to fix this?
