[Win10] PC keeps crashing or freezing when playing games

Post Body

I have had this PC for about a year now, almost no problems. Previously, I ran linux mint on my SSD and then installed Windows 10 on my HDD about two weeks ago and its been a headache.

Specs:

Amd Ryzen 7 cpu

Radeon RX 580 GPU

MSI B450 Gaming Plus mobo

32g ram

BIOS set to UEFI

I have plenty of fans, it rarely reaches above 75C. When I play games on Linux, I almost never have problems (outside of compatibility issues). It almost never freezes or crashes. One game I play had an update and pretty much broke Linux compatibility entirely, so I caved and bought and installed Windows 10.

Ever since then, I have had problems. Last night, I did a complete new reinstall, deleted the old one, and installed from .iso. Still, I have these problems. I updated my GPU drivers to the newest available from AMD. Currently the only things on my computer are Civ 6, Steam, and the AMD drivers, and whatever stuff comes preinstalled. It happened again with just this.

It also happens when I am not playing games, but is more rare, and usually happens right at startup after it froze previously, but I suspect that is more related to it "thinking" than the other issue. Any help appreciated, I don't know what to do and I'm out of ideas.
