Hey all, about 1 year ago my HP Omen laptop started having issues where it would drop the internet connection at random and wouldn't reconnect until I restarted. This didn't happen too often and was easy to ignore. It slowly rose in frequency and lately, in the past 2weeks I can't ignore it. It's been happening sometimes as frequently as every 10 minutes with other symptoms: almost each time this happens, the computer "stutters" including the screen and audio fluttering for 2 seconds, and now on a daily basis the laptopat least once with a BSOD with the error message: "KERNAL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE".

The only recent changes I've made are that I changed the battery to a non-OEM about 5 weeks ago, and I have a job which sometimes requires a lot of walking, driving and sitting in my car for extended periods in the cold-several times I've carried the laptop with me on trips in my car when it's very cold outside. However, I keep my car fairly warm and the laptop rarely is explosed to sub-40 or 50 degrees for more than 30-60 minutes a time- I didn't think the temperature exposure should've been a big problem, but now I'm not sure if it caused hardware damage.

I ran chkdsk for the C drive which seems like it temporarily paused the issue for a couple hours before it started happening again- not sure if it was attributed to the check/fix or not. I also checked for memory problems- none detected. All drivers and the OS seems to be properly updated. Windows Security and Malwarebytes detects no virus or security threats.

It's an HP Omen 15t5100. It has 2 direct USB attachements: a USB hub (mouse, audio interface, printer, external SSD HD), and a TV connected as a second monitor via USB. The issue also occurs when no USB is attached (not the BSOD). I used all of those USB devices without issues for about 1 year before this issue started happening. The laptop only has 128 GB of space which is 95% full. I bolded something about "failed device encrpytion" in the specs below which I have no idea what it means or whether it's relevant.
