So I don’t know if this is allowed, but I left my job recently and made a deal with them that I’d forfeit my last cheque if I could keep the work from home laptop. They agreed and I didn’t get paid but now the laptop won’t let me sign in (I’m assuming they’ve removed access)
Is there any way I can change this or get around it? Their tech support have been less than helpful, saying that because I no longer work there they can’t give me any form of access due to privacy.
It’s running Windows 10 and I can’t get any further than the login screen.
I’ve tried the shift-restart function to reset it but it asks for a recovery key and I have no idea where to find that…
I can’t help but feel that my old employers have stiffed me.
