Question regarding installing windows on a new ssd

I’m helping a friend with this and it seems pretty straight forward for me at this point. The only thing that I’m not 100% sure about is if I’ll get the option to wipe his hdd while running the media tool for windows. As far as I know, at some point I’ll get an option where to install windows. At the same screen you’re able to delete partitions, so will I be able to completely wipe all his data from his hdd (including windows)? Might be a stupid question but I’m not completely sure so that’s why I ask.
