This started happening about a month ago.
May happen two or three times in a row before things are stable for a day or maybe only a few hours. Have updated and rolled back drivers, removed any old drivers or references to old drivers, ran sfc/scannow that did repair corrupted files. ran restoro repair tool for the heck of it which apparently attacked broken registry keys and system files, ran a memory diagnostic test... Have done about everything I can think of outside of a clean Windows installation.
It does not matter if I am in a game or browsing the web - it has happened in each scenario. This is just becoming increasingly more frustrating. Reliability history shows DWM failing 3 times and then notates a surprising shutdown - which is me holding down the power button.
Any ideas would be appreciated:
- GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
-ASRock x470 SLI Master/ac
-G.skill F4 2400C15-8GB-DDR4 X2
EDIT: I should note - the System file checker scan that repaired corrupted files is my most recent step in this mess of deductive reasoning. Hoping that does it - insight into whether or not you think that may be the killswitch would be great as well.
