Keyboard keys seem to be "crossed", typing extra keys after only one input. Is this water damage, or something else? (Windows 10)

Post Body

Last night and I was closing my laptop lid, I dripped a tiny bit of water (less than 1/8th teaspoon) on the integrated keyboard. It was so little water, I wasn't concerned. This morning, I noticed the keyboard behaving weirdly.

I used keyboardtester.com to see which keys are problematic. Here's what I found:

Input Output
f3 or i f3 i PgUp
f4 or f6 f4 f6 WIN
f5 or Caps f5 Caps Num7
f7 f7 e PgUp (sometimes, e f7 Num9)
Home Home 3
PgUp PgUp f3
PgDwn or k PgDwn NumLck k
NumLck NumLck PgDwn
* or Space * Space
Num7 Num7 caps
Num9 Num9 e
NumEnter or , NumEnter Enter ,
3 or 8 3 8 Home
e e f7 Num9
Win Win f4

Everything works fine with the onscreen keyboard.

The keyboard does not type anything on it's own.

What I've tried so far:
- restarting computer.
- updating keyboard drivers.
- deleting keyboard drivers.

Does this seem like water damage, or is it possibly a hardware issue?

Thank you!
