This started happening a couple months back (probably 4-5 months). It initially was like once every couple days. Then it built up and started beeping every couple seconds, until one day it literally went for 10 seconds straight and then stopped, where it told me that the battery had just lost some life (or something to that extent). But I know its not the battery since it does it when I remove the battery and just run on DC power.

It went away for several months after that, and has recently begun singing its song again.

It's not from the speakers, as when i put in headphones, I can't hear it but those around me can. It's not caused by any button presses since I'll go into the kitchen and it will just beep a couple times. It's from within the computer itself.

I've run virus scans and malware scans, and nothing shows up.

I have a Dell Latitude e6500 (which otherwise has proven to be wonderful). Any other specs you need I will provide.

Why is this damn thing beeping at me?!?!?
