Received a strange email from my father but with a different email address - I clicked the link inside

Post Body

Last night I received an email from my father. This email address that sent it has the same name exactly: "firstname.lastname", but after this the address is "@svetnov.cz".

This is not my his address, and when I googled it appears to be the name of village in czech republic.

The email only contains one link.

Stupidly, I clicked this link. I'm not sure why, my dad has a few alternate work emails and I assumed this to be one of his and clicked without thinking (really stupid).

The link opened and immediately my antivirus (Avast) opened up and said it blocked it, which is reassuring at least. I closed the window after that.

So I have a few concerns now:

How does this spam email have the same name as my father? Does it mean either I or he have a security issue to do with our email accounts?

Secondly, as I stupidly clicked the link, what do I do now? I'm running a full PC scan right now on Avast, and the fact that it immeddiately popped up and blocked it is reassuring. However, could something have still got on my PC?

This is a bit scary. I don't understand how they would have his name, unless it was monitoring my emails out and in.

Appreciate any advice on what to do now

Thanks
