I want to move my windows installation and still keep my files (complicated)

Post Body

Okay so my situation seems a bit specific and complicated, but hopefully somebody can help me out.

I have a laptop with:

-A 1tb hdd currently as my boot drive with windows (has files I want to keep)

-An 256gb m.2 ssd (has files I want to keep)

-A new 2tb hdd connected with a usb enclosure

I want to replace my 1tb hdd and also move windows to my ssd at the same time.

I have a process sorted out in my mind about how it will go:

1) Copy my 1tb hard drive to a partition my new 2tb drive 2) Copy my 256gb SSD to another partition on my new 2tb drive 3) Wipe both (I think this keeps windows installed on the 1tb hard drive) 4) Clone the blank windows hard drive to the ssd and set it as boot 5) Put my new (2tb) drive in

Hopefully there is a better way to do this. If not, I could use some pointers because I am still not sure of the little details.

Iā€™m sure I left some things out but hopefully not too much.

Thanks in advance to all those who are willing to help!
