Hiya - we've got some special network printers that we need to manage ourselves in our part of the company.
There's a driver package that's been extracted, and the driver installation files are readily available to us. The printers aren't registered centrally - we install them ourselves.
Once we go to add the network printer in Windows 10, after specifying the file location and printer model, admin rights are required - which means queueing up for central phone support and remote control.
I'm not familiar enough with how printer installation works in this scenario. Is there a way to avoid needing admin rights? Could we perhaps repackage the driver files somehow? Or is there a way to circumvent the process and force the files in question to their required locations in Windows?
Much obliged in advance. :)
