I have run into the odd issue that my laptop microphone does not function when I have earbuds plugged in which have built-in microphones. This is unfortunate, as I find earbud microphones to be absolute horseshit, but I cannot seem to find a way to switch back manually while still using earbuds for sound. Opening the Realtek control panel, which is red and black - apparently Asus-themed? - allows for no control whatsoever - the options might as well be nonexistent, only containing a language swap, while the field to switch device is greyed out and unusable. Is anyone able to help me force my computer to function?
To note: I have very little idea what I am doing, so if you can help, please word any advice in relatively simple terms.
