Separating front and back audio jacks

Post Body

So basically, I remember a time when my front and back audio jacks were separate. At some point they combined into "Speakers" even though it used to be "Speakers" and "Headphones". Both still work, and if I have nothing plugged into the front, it will play through my speakers plugged in the back. If I plug in my headphones, audio stops from the speakers and goes to my headphones. It's never been much of a hassle until I realised my front jack is a little difficult to plus into and I have to fiddle with it for a while before it will work properly.

When I run a troubleshoot, it tells me my speakers audio jack is in the front, even though my speakers are plugged in the back and still work. Meanwhile, my rear audio jack has no connector registered. Is there a way to fix this?

tl;dr both front and back audio jacks have combined into a single input
