HP 62XL Black in Cartridge is reading 0% on my OfficeJet 5740 after Costco Refill and printer is refusing to print.

I removed the black cartridge and printer is working fine, possibly the cartridge chip is assuming the cartridge is on empty therefore refusing to print. Anyone have experience with this?
