Hi all. I've had this option for a couple of weeks now, and Googling hasn't really helped as it's a weirdly specific issue. I'll update with specs and screenshots in a little bit once I'm home. I've had the laptop for a couple of years, without fault. Can't think of anything that might've caused this- no liquid spills or hard knocks etc.

So when I plug it in to charge, I lose colour on most video players. At least, most colours. It goes to grey scale, but still any remotely yellow-y colours become a bright fluorescent yellow-green. Weirdly, it's also only affecting the video players, not the entire screen. The Chrome/etc window around the video player is always unaffected, and I can minimise the video player and everything else is also normal.

Affected players: BBC iPlayer, Quest OD, ITV Player, flash-based sports streams, Amazon Prime Video, VLC Player.

Unaffected: Netflix, possibly YouTube

Any thoughts would be great. I'm thinking it must be a software issue, otherwise surely the changes would happen to the entire screen?
