Right I’m pulling my hair out over an issue with my PS4 and the inability to play multiplayer when more than 1 device is connected to my network.
Bit of info about my setup:
BT infinity broadband connected to a D-link DIR-878 AC1900 MU-MIMO router (purchased today to try and fix the issue with no avail) Speeds are usually between 35-40Mbps download and 5-9Mbps upload.
My connection to the PS4 is wired and the router’s QoS settings have my PS4 at the highest priority.
Now speed isn’t the issue which is the reason BT themselves won’t do anything. The issue lies in playing online games (CoD, rocket league etc) as I have massive ping spikes between 30-120ms every 3-5 seconds.
Now if I’m the only one using the network then I have zero issues at all, however as soon as any other device connects to the network my PS4 goes into lag overdrive despite being wired and other devices using the internet over WiFi.
I’ve tried every sort of “fix” available on the internet and was wondering if anybody out there would be able to shed some sort of light on the whole situation
Thanks.
