Post Body

So I rent a room in this house that has optimum. There's WiFi but it doesn't reach my floor. So what I want to do is go buy a Netgear or something and connect it to the coax wire in my room to get a signal. Is that possible? Would it be plug and play or would it need account verification/ extra modem fees? Because right now I'm stuck with my weak data connection. If there's a better/more specific sub reddit for this lmk but if you have the answers please bestow them upon me thanks
