Can 1080 gtx handle a fhd and qhd duel monitor setup

I have a duel monitor setup with a qhd and fhd monitor the former 120hz the later 144hz. I have been getting a ton of drop frames when in games like fps dips as low as 30. Also I’m getting a lot of ghosting when watching vids. Is this normal or could the gpu be a defect.
