Dell XPS 8910 - BIOS Update for i7-7700 support???

Hello Redditors. I’m trying to upgrade my Dell XPS 8910 Tower Special Edition from the i5-6400 that’s currently in it. I looked into the i7-7700 and it has the same wattage (65W) and the same socket (LGA 1151), but forums around the net have given me vague answers that state that the 8910 only accepts 6th generation processors. In addition, though, I’ve seen that there may have been a BIOS update to add support for the 7700.

Can anyone on here that’s had this experience help me out? Once and for all, will the 8910 accept the chip after a BIOS update, yes or no?

Specs: - Intel Core i5-6400 - 16GB Dell Stock RAM - Nvidia GTX 1070
