How to tell if damaged cpu due to high temps?

I noticed after rebooting my CPU was running sluggish. Tried antivirus and hdd cleanup, checked cpu temps and noticed it was around 100° C. Popped it open, fan isn't working so replacing that tomorrow. How can I tell if there's any damage?
