Last week, I managed to clean my desktop in because I have some problem opening my PC due to BIOS Freezing on the start. Upon cleaning all the parts including the motherboard, I managed to make my desktop work fine again.
Failed to use it for couple of days due to work but upon opening it the other day, I realized that It doesn't have any sound. Hover the mouse to the speaker icon and only got "No speaker or headphones are plugged in". This is frustrating since my speaker is working wonders as of now.
I tried uninstalling the sound driver through device manager or updating some drivers but failed to make a difference. Do you think my built-in sound card got damaged? When I looked at my playback devices, NVDIA HDMI Output Port 0~2 are all not plugged in. Did my cleaning managed to damage my sound card unintentionally? Do purchasing an external sound card help me in this case?
Looking forward to your help! Thanks!
