I've had an on and off issue with utopia.net suddenly taking over and stopping my internet connection. At first I had no clue what was going on, but once I ran an ipconfig scan, I noticed my dns suffix was set to utopia.net and after some research i've come to the conclusion that there is no good way out there to solve it.
The known solution that people recommend is to go into avast and delete utopia.net from the connection profiles. Unfortunately, I have only one connection profile available to delete which is the connection that I am on.
Another temporary solution i'm told is to put utopia.net into my hosts file in order to block it. This too apparently has no effect.
Finally, I can try to delete utopia.net from my registry, but it comes back after a reset of the computer, and the internet does not start working again anyways.
There is also the option of factory resetting the router, but from what I gathered, it appears that this should be a computer problem and not a router one.
I had thought i'd gotten rid of it when I updated my network adapters from the device manager, but it appears as if it just came back later stronger than before.
If there is any advice you could give, it would be great. (Currently on IPhone LTE connection to ask for help).
Edit: I forgot to mention i've also tried changing my dns settings from automatic to 75.75.75.75 / 75.75.76.76
