After playing Overwatch for a while monitor turns off and I have to do turn off my PC for it to work again.

To go into detail I was playing Overwatch with a friend in Discord and suddenly my monitor turned off and my friend said I left the game however I could still hear him in Discord and talk. I turned off my PC and it worked again even with Nier: Automata for the short period I played it. When I went back in Overwatch however it happened twice more and I am puzzled as to what it could be.I will try other games and programs to see how they fair I am wondering if it is a specific issue with Overwatch perhaps or worst case my hardware. EDIT: Just tried DOOM 2016 and same issue occured.
