I have a bunch of 0 KB files on my hard drive. Most of them are video files (mp4, mkv or flv) but there are also mp3, cbr, pdf and even txt files too.
I'm not sure what happened to them, but I noticed this problem after I defragmented my HDD with the Defraggler program. I did the defragmenting in safe mode, my HDD is partitioned to two segments, I think the corrupting happened after the first segment was defragged.
I did this because a couple days ago my HDD slowed down tremendously (like 2 minute load time to open a folder). It had 70% fragmented data. After defragmenting it now works perfectly, but a lot of files were corrupted(?). When I try to open them, VLC stutters and freezes (or incase of cbr files, winrar gives an error message), and all of them has 0 byte file size.
Thankfully none of them are vital but still, I'd like to get them back. Is there a way tro do it?
