I've never posted on here before, so forgive me if theres some sort of format that i haven't followed. I'll include system specs at the end of the post.
I've never had to deal with viruses much, so removing them, i'm clueless on. Windows Defender popped up showing it detected some malware, I opened it up, and the malware it found was a browser modifier called 'Win32/Foxiebro' and it gave me the file directory to the supposed files that were the cause. They were system files named '{6fcd6092-9615-4f7f-8898-8df53980e5d2}Gw64.sys' and '{57f143ae-1ecd-493d-9ddb-32c45a3cecd5}Gw64.sys'.
Now, being system files, i'm rather scared to tinker with them, even if they are perceived as a threat. Nonetheless, I couldn't delete those files even if i wanted to. I first tried the traditional right clicking and deleting method. However, i couldnt do that due to it "being open in another program" (there are no other applications open when i do this) i assume this is a way for the virus to not be so easily removed, so i moved on to deleting it via command prompt. When i tried this, it simply said 'access denied'. After this, i checked my permissions for those files and the only boxes ticked were 'read and execute' and 'read'. Simply put, i have no control over these files, and the option to tick those boxes are greyed out. Currently, i have no idea what to do.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you could help me, i would be very thankful.
