I recently moved into a new apartment. Every device except for my desktop computer are receiving a download speed between 50 and 80 Mb/s and an upload speed between 30 and 50 Mb/s. However, my desktop can't exceed 8 Mb/s download, while upload speeds are normal. Any idea what could be causing this issue on this single system?
Thus far, I have tried selectively deactivating running programs to see if something was throttling. The only change occurred by disabling OneDrive which caused and increase from 1 to 2 Mb/s to 5 Mb/s download speed. I also attempted a wired connection, but my computer doesn't recognize the internet connection for some reason. I've also ran multiple virus and malware scans (Malwarebytes, Avast, and Windows Defender) and all have come back clear. A common issue I found searching Google was certain programs throttling download speeds, but I am not running any of the mentioned programs.
