My computer is a Dell Optiplex 3020 small form. It has an Intel HD Graphics 4400. I have two Dell E2214H attached via DVI to Displayport to a MST hub connected to the tower's displayport. I have a Dell P2012H attached to the VGA input. I am running Windows 7 64. The driver for the graphics card is up to date and as far as I can tell the other drivers are up to date as well. As far as I can tell, the 4400 should be able to handle 3 monitors. I have tried to change the resolution of the two dvi monitors to the same as the vga, but I still get the message "unable to save display settings" when I try to extend the desktop to my third screen.
Any ideas? I have tried what I believe is everything. The dvi to displayport adapters are passive. I thought I read somewhere that if you are using an MST hub that this is ok. This is the only thing I can think of trying that I haven't because I don't feel like dropping more money if this setup is impossible.
