Brand new Asus 14 inch Laptop WiFi disconnecting?
Post Body

Hello /r/techsupport, first time poster here.

I got this new Asus 14 inch laptop running Windows 10 for Christmas and I really do love it. https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/X455LD/[2] However, I am getting a problem where my WiFi signal will constantly drop every 20 minutes or so. It says 'Not connected - Connections are available" and I have no idea why a brand new laptop might be having this issue. I know there is nothing wrong with my router (which is also an asus product), since my iPad remains connected to the WiFi and works even when my laptop drops its signal. If anybody has a link that could point me towards a solution or ideas as to why this might be happening, I would extremely appreciate it.

Some more info: Running the troubleshoot problems option temporarily gives a connection back but disconnects again after a couple minutes.

After completing, it says Problems found:

  • A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken - Detected
  • Problem with wireless adapter or access point - Fixed
