Hello,
I am running Linux Xubuntu (But it does it on windows as well) and using a GTX 770 that I have had for only about a year. My PSU is a Corsair CX600. I have a Intell I7 3770 CPU, and a Lenovo Stock motherboard, 8 Gigs of ram.
When playing games they will begin to lag horribly with constant freezing and such, then you will hear the GPU fan start to speed up incredibly fast to the point where it sounds like it's about to fly away. I put my hand down to the GPU and it's radiating heat. I touched one of the heat pipes and it literally burned the shit out of my finger.
Another thing is my PSU is in the top of my PC and when I touch the area of the top of the case that is flush with the psu it is also very hot. Not sure if there is a correlation there.
Help me out, hoping to god I don't have to get a new GPU. It's only had this problem for a couple days now. Ran fine for the year I used it before.
