This may not be the right place for this, and I'm also at work so I can't remember all of my system specs off hand...but here goes.

So I want to replace the hard drive in my laptop. It is a dell xps l502x.

My question is, and it may be a dumb one, but if you clone the new hard drive with the old, will it also transfer over the old deleted data that was left over on the hdd ( the deleted data that hasnt already been over written by something else)?

Basically I wouldn't mind just starting new, but I don't want to drop 100 bucks for another Windows 7 cd. So cloning is the best and cheapest option. I just want to delete all the old bs I don't want, then clone.
